2009
Well the first of an annual event. A great time was had by all, apart from the ups and downs, which were many, especially as we started at a really low point and finished a really high point, i now realise why most people do the walk the other way round.

Friday
We started out in the morning at a respectable 5 am from The Gap. After the morning Macs we made our way to Mapleton and got a cab to baroon pocket lake.
We walked the first part which was a brutal first start a giant hill going up to some falls. Cant remember the name, or really what they looked like, there was too much sweat in my eyes. We stopped and had a bite to eat and Sven decided to go swimming, Which we all feel might have contributed to softening his feet and getting blisters on his blisters.
We carried on up another hill that led to another hill, which led to another hill. After these hills we stopped in Flaxton and refilled on water. We made camp on good time and set up. Nice relaxing afternoon of playing some stupid game of cards with no ending. We made rules up so it would finish, however after it got dark Jon had a hissy fit and threw his cards on the floor, guess that was the end of it, apart froma very amusing photo that Jon took and Sven and myself decided to sabotage. Torches are such fun!
Saturday
Next day we packed up and Walked to Baxter falls for brekkie which was nice and civilised until the walk back up the falls, which again nearly killed me. (Next walk less hills). Once we reached the top Jon and Sven again tried some Power Source and lets just say … IT WAS DISGUSTING …
We carried on powering through the national parks with Sven saying he wanted to go on to Thilba Thalb, however his feet were getting worse and Jons toe was painful and i was generally dieing from exhaustion ( i was the least fit) we decided that Thilba Thalba was a pipe dream.
We reached the campsite of Ebby Geeby Deeby or some other silly name. Set up and had a very pleasant tea looking out over a spectacular view.
Sunday
Next morning we were either going to go to the falls or just walk out of the camp. With our injuries and tiredness we decided to walk straight out and get a bacon and egg sandwich from a nice little cafe run by 2 very old people that took a very long time to do anything. Looked at some wood with silly names on it and left. We also stopped in Samford for a very very welcome beer.
Cheers!

Nice write-up! Eeby jeeby Weeby was a nice place to eat dinner, I must say.
